Dupes - #1 M.A.C Gold Stroke

\1dupe
 noun \ˈdüp also ˈdyüp\

Definition of DUPE : In cosmetics, an almost identical match of a low priced item to one of a significantly higher price.

  Today's Dupe - M.A.C Gold Stroke pigment!

I picked this beautiful burgundy colored pigment up in Orlando last month when I went home to visit family. I loved the color, and felt like I had passed by something very similar in CVS a while back. When I got back to Louisville, I looked into it, and sure enough NYC made a perfect match!!

Here they are next to each other:
(Left - NYC Sparkle Eye Dust in Smokey Topaz)  (Right - M.A.C Pigment in Gold Stroke)

M.A.C is more pigmented, but I forgot to blend to show exactly how close they are :(.. The color is IDENTICAL! If you are thinking about playing with pigment for the first time, and want to see how it works, try NYC Sparkle Eye Dust. Another favorite color of mine is "Champagne". They each cost $4 or less.

 Happy Derby Weekend!

P.S. Reviews to come for two brand new, not yet released, products from Estee Lauder! (Perks of working for the company :) Trust me, you will want to pick these up!
